As the SVP of Sales and Business Development, Dean is responsible for directly expanding the retail distribution across the United States as well as fostering international distribution relationships.

Prior to joining Smith and Tinker, Dean managed the North American growth of Imagination Entertainment and helped turn it into a top board game distributor. In this general management role he was directly responsible for the Sales, Marketing and the ongoing operations of the business. His primary success was opening over 20,000 new retail distribution outlets including Walmart, Toys R Us, Walgreens, Radio Shack and many others. In addition, he led a team that expanded the awareness and distribution of a new category of games - DVD games.

Before that Dean spent 5 years at Disney Consumer Products where he held a number of positions across business functions. As a Director of Global Toys, Dean worked with an array of toy manufacturers and retailers to expand the distribution of Disney licensed merchandise. He started his career in consulting with a combined 5 years spent with Anderson Consulting and McGladrey and Pullen.

Dean holds a Masters of Science degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and an undergraduate degree from Luther College.
